Hastings Friday Night LIVE is back
and kicks off its 2010 season
with a downtown Literary Event!
Here is the lineup at the Human Bodyworks:
6pm - Mayor Peter Swiderski – reading Jim Copp's "Will You Tell Me a Story", illustrated by Lindsay DuPont
6:30pm - Bill Finkleday – will read from a children’s story by Hastings’ beloved Children’s author Charlotte Zolotow
7:30pm - James Kaplan – will read from his book "Frank: The Voice" a bio of Frank Sinatra, releases November ‘10.
8pm – Kevin O’Rourke will perform excerpted monologues excerpted from work by playwright Rick Dresser.
There are many other events happening around town, including a poetry contest (get your poems in by Monday, March 1st!), an adult poetry slam and a youth poetry slam. Also, Common Ground Downtown presents Catherine Russel with Mark Shane at the James Harmon Community Center.
